Steroids are only for short term relief and are damaging in the long term. You can get huge relief from a biologic injection.
I've gotten steroid injections at specific target.
I've gotten nonsteroid injections for general area.
Not supposed to come back for 3 months. I've always been ready to return at 2 months.
NOW I've been sent on supposedly for epidural (numbing the whole spine?) It supposed to be good for a year?
I read people's posts here... seems there are lots of kinds of shots. Anyone want to straighten me out please???
I’m so sorry they don’t work for you, can you use magnets? I’ve heard that magnetic therapy helps some.
Hola everyone!! Hope everyone is managing and having a great day. I have a question for anyone that has had an epidural or ablation? I just had me 2nd round of medial branch blocks from my L4 to S1 And now I’m scheduled for an epidural instead of ablation. He said he was afraid ablation would t work and didn’t want to try it just yet. What’s anyones thought or opinion on it. Thanks!!
I’ve had both. They tried ablation 2 different times, didn’t help and it was so painful. Epidurals help some. For me, SI injections work the longest & best. Good luck, keep your light shining.
GenieHendrickson no more surgery to big of a chance to paralyze me .
debilitating pain especially in the morning.
I didn’t realize how much the gabapenten helped until I stopped using it for a few days. I have taken it for over 20 years
Is this as good as I should expect to get, or should I try more procedures with my doctor ?
Oh my, be very thankful for a 2-3 on the pain chart. My injections and epidurals get me to 5 at best on a good day. Keep doing what you are doing
I met w/pain management. They are doing a back injection. I've had many with no pain relief at all. My question: Has anyone had a back injection that worked after having many that didn't?
I have ablasions now.
But injection must work for 3 or 4 weeks 50%
Someti.es epidural is better
Once dr finds right spot
An if so has it helped with the pain , numbness, an tingling...
I just had one yesterday. I have had them before. It really is a temporary fix. It works most of the time. It just depends because everyone is different. It's working for me thus far.
I have a stenosis resulting from long standing AS
Your reply is really helpful. I am going today for (my first?) epidural and understand that I must not expect too much.
