Depends on whether it's Sufentanyl or Syfentanil
As Deb points out
Fentanyl is safer than Fentanil. Yup, an opiate.
Not recommended to mix with other meds or alcohol. Can cause synergistic effect.
Did your doc prescribe this for you? You may want to ask for something else. Talk with pharamacist.
I would suggest that you avoid Fentanyl and any of its derivatives if at all possible. It is the most dangerous of all opiods either organic or synthetic.
I use Targin act it is a slow release pill it is stronger than morfine and is active for up to 8 hours it was discribe by my rheumatologist who have AS as well it really work for me
Yeah...it is a high potency, however it was discontinued for post-surgery due to its short duration of action.
FDA approved it back in November 2018, even though very controversial. It is a very concerning medication as it becomes lethal, very quickly.
According to Medscapes, The sublingual formulation of sufentanil is designed for rapid pain relief. Its onset of action is as little as 15 minutes, and it provides about 3 hours of analgesia.
