The second one comes from age disease, the first one comes from systemic and genetic disease. I'm not sure but I think you might be lucky to have the one that is age related.
Thanks, prayer gets me through day to day,
My Rheumatologist just put me on a once a year list for appointments. At my last hospital, the Rheumatologist refused to see me so I came to this hospital. At least I get to see one here.

Does anyone else have shoulder pain? It started a week ago.
I don’t remember doing anything that hurt it.
I can move it and use it but sometimes I get an awful pain. My arm also feels weaker than usual and shaky.
I know AS can affect the shoulder but not sure how common or what the symptoms are like.
Thanks
Thanks everyone. I have a steroid pack my doctor gives me at home so I started it today

Recently I've been having neck pain, which feels stiff and my hands sometimes feel a little numb or like I'm getting pins and needles. My arms are fine it's just my neck and hands. Could anyone please tell me if this is related to the spondylitis in my spine? Many thanks.
I have numbness in both of my forearms into my fingers and now both legs.
Prayers for you and your family and I hope you feel better soon. I hope your surgery went well. I have a lot of the same things wrong with me like you do. I take it one day of time.
I have yet to be diagnosed with Spondylitis, with having 2 painful SI joints, lower back & neck pain/stiffness, bad
shoulders & knees, & IBS. Neck pain began in 40s & rest in my 60s. I tested positive for an autoimmune disease, but Dr rules out Spondylitis, due to late onset of symptoms. Diagnoses include osteo-arthritis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, scoliosis. I am now 75 & in much pain every day all day.
Sounds like spondylitis to me. Keep looking for a doctor.
I am a newly diagnosed patient with Spondylosis. My condition is very advanced, considering I'm just 33 years old. I have a plethora of non pain related symptoms all day everyday in Conjunction with my pain and limited mobility. Is this considered an autoimmune disease too?
Yes, it is an autoimmune disease.
This is wear and tear arthritis, osteoarthritis,(Spondylosis, not the same as spondylitis), it does not affect the nerves/spinal chord (Myelopathy and Radiculopathy. Basically, normal age related fun… read more
